What the licence covers
Decision no. 2024-107 of 25 April 2024 renews the online sports betting licence of WINAMAX SAS for five years from 14 May 2024. The licence authorises two forms of betting: pool form and fixed odds. It is renewable and non-transferable. Within one year the holder must obtain certification covering compliance with the technical requirements set by the Authority for the integrity of betting operations and the security of information systems, with an annual update thereafter.
Odds and margins
On major European football fixtures, the odds recorded by our editorial desk place the operator in the upper band of the French licensed market. The gap narrows sharply on secondary markets and on less-followed disciplines, where the applied margin rises noticeably. Our readings are taken on identical fixtures, compared at the same moment, to neutralise variation driven by sporting news.
Market depth
Football, tennis, basketball, rugby, US sports and esports competitions make up the bulk of the offering. Depth is genuine on football: goalscorers, half-time lines, combined individual statistics. It remains thinner on niche disciplines, where the number of available markets contracts sharply outside major competitions.
Mobile experience
The mobile interface is among the operator’s strongest points: fast rendering, a legible bet slip, and consistent navigation between sections. Traffic peaks on European cup nights remain the main load test; we recorded no extended unavailability over the observed period.
Payouts and withdrawals
Withdrawal requests are processed within the turnaround stated in the approved terms and conditions. As with every French-licensed operator, identity verification is mandatory before a first withdrawal: proof of identity and proof of address. Completing this step early avoids most of the delays we observed.
Bettor protection
Moderation tools are reachable from the account area: deposit limits, stake limits, duration limits, and temporary or permanent self-exclusion. The Joueurs Info Service number, 09 74 75 13 13, is carried in the operator’s notices, as French rules require.
Detailed scoring
- ANJ licence renewed in 2024 and publicly verifiable
- Odds among the most competitive on the French licensed market
- Fast, legible mobile interface
- Complete and accessible moderation tools
- Higher margin on niche disciplines
- Uneven secondary-market depth outside major competitions
- Identity verification required before a first withdrawal
A solid operator on the fundamentals: a licence in force, competitive odds on the main markets, and a well-built mobile interface. Our reservations concern the consistency of the offering away from marquee fixtures. Our overall score is 8.9/10.
